Hi, I’m Meghan Schibli, a Registered Therapeutic Counselor (RTC-C), and I’m passionate about helping people navigate their unique life journeys. Before becoming a counselor, I worked in healthcare, where I saw a real need for more counseling and support services, especially for older adults. This inspired me to make a career shift into therapy, where I could have a more personal impact on people's lives.
As a parent, I understand firsthand how life’s challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming. I know how important it is to have a compassionate, judgment-free space where you can feel heard and supported. I believe everyone deserves to find their inner strength and resilience, and my goal is to walk alongside you as you develop strategies to manage life’s ups and downs.
Whether you're facing big changes, navigating family life, or just need someone to talk to, I’m here to help you find your way.
Through connection and collaboration, I aim to create a warm, open, and non-judgmental environment for my clients. My goal is to help you recognize your ability to create a rewarding life, even in the face of challenges and difficult experiences. Together, we will navigate the obstacles you encounter, whether they involve stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting, relationship issues, or anything else that may be preventing you from living your authentic self.
Adolescence, adults, and couples who face a range of challenges including but not limited to:
I truly believe that each person has the inner resources for healing and growth. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches to collaborate with you and help you navigate life's challenges. My goal is to help you build the skills and confidence you need to create a fulfilling, balanced life.
The Evidence-Based practices I like to use:
Person-centered- Establishing a strong client-counselor relationship emphasizes the necessity of creating a supportive, non-judgmental, and empathetic therapeutic environment where the client can explore their feelings, thoughts, and experiences.
CBT- This approach focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It aims to help individuals identify and navigate negative or unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress and or mental health issues.
IFS- Everyone has "parts" (part of me wants to do this, part of me wants to do that) there are no bad parts and they make up our internal system. Each part has its own perspectives, emotions, and behaviors. These parts often interact with each other and can contribute to emotional distress when they are in conflict. IFS emphasizes that all parts have positive intentions, even if their behaviors are not always helpful, and seeks to build a compassionate, non-judgmental relationship with all parts of the internal system.
Solution-focused- Only have a limited amount of time? this might be the therapy for you. This is a brief and goal-orientated therapy that focuses on the present and future not so much the past. It's based on the belief that clients have the resources and strengths within themselves to resolve their issues and create positive change. It empowers clients to take charge of their lives and achieve the goals they have set.
If you have an approach you have heard about or want to try feel free to ask :)
